In english it would be something like the Headless Mule.

It's a brazilian legend about a woman who was cursed by god for having sex with a catholic priest inside a church, so she was turned into a headless mule which vomits fire.

Say what you want about Halloween zombies, vampires and mummies. The mule is the one who scares the sh*t out of me : D

Since I've been absent this past few months, I decided to post at least something about one of my projects, even if it's not finished (in this case, it barely started!).

I don't know if you guys recall this painting of mine, Swinging Nymph. It's from 2009, and I believe I have now improved enough to make it better.

I've been meaning to change mostly everything, except the original composition. Anatomy, colors, shapes, landscapes, plants...

It's been a long and rough path to repaint everything, and I have just a couple of hours a week to do that, so don't you guys expect any finished piece anytime soon!

Hi!

This post's gonna be a little different from my usual updates, because this time I have too much to share from my experiences at PixelShow.

First of all, it was great. Amazing lectures, amazing artists, so much networking going on. I'm glad I had a chance to share a little bit of my work with people there.

And then, I had the most incredible time watching Bobby Chiu's drawing class at Melies, where I had the chance to talk with the great Bobby himself, also with Kei Acedera, one of my inspirations, and Jason Manley, the real deal in the entertainment industries.

Now I'm gonna share a little bit of what I've seen here with you guys : )

First, the lectures! (I actually didn't take a lot of pictures because I was too mesmerized paying attention):

With Misandria I joined a contest called Parla! (1ª mostra LaDeh de design de personagens da PUC-Rio).
It's a concept art contest and, although I didn't win, I'm very happy to say that my work was chosen for exhibit at SB Games 2009, a gaming event we have every year here in Rio.
There will be only 6 (besides the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places) works there!

Thanks to everyone who helped me and believed in me, I'm very proud with what I have achieved :)
